Hot Water and Heating

Water

We have a water tank which is heated twice a day, at 5am and at 5pm. This should be sufficient for showers and washing up, but if everyone has a bath then this may empty the tank!

 

If you go down the hallway towards the toilet downstairs you’ll see a control panel on the RHS.

Open this and there is an option marked ‘BOOST’, which immediately heats the water for one hour.

Water mains:

The water stopcock is in the closet on the right hand side as you walk towards the downstairs toilet.

 

Heating

 

We have a Nest thermostat located above the TV. Press in once and you can select the temperature required. 

It's currently programmed to heat the house to 18c from around 7am, until around 11:00pm. However, it will turn itself off if it doesn’t detect anyone in the lounge. To wake it up, just press the entire circular dial in or wave in front of it.
